Tammy was born and raised in Virginia but made her way to Hamilton County as fast as she could! Her long history of serving her community began at 15 years old as a junior volunteer at the fire department where she became an EMT. Still eager to serve, she enlisted in the US Army when she was 22 and served four years on active duty. This allowed her to choose Tennessee as her home where she could continue her service in a reserve unit here. As a soldier, she was trained as an X-ray tech and worked in the medical community in Chattanooga for 23 years.

Tammy is proud to say Soddy Daisy has been her home for almost 20 years and that all three of her sons received their education in Soddy Daisy schools.

As an active member of the Soddy Daisy Middle School PTA, Tammy is devoted to our students, teachers, and staff. She believes our students deserve access to an honest, equitable, safe, and fully funded public education.

Tammy feels called to serve her community once again and she hopes you'll consider giving her your vote for Hamilton County School Board. Not only does she believe in our students, our teachers, and our community, she has been a dedicated parent and volunteer in our childrens' schools for decades.
